accordance with the curricula and the
operational objectives. Any team that
does not achieve the expected results
is expelled from the course. At the end
of the training, handlers and their dogs
take an examination of variable duration (two to four days) consisting of
tests for specific specialization training
and obedience training. In accordance
with test results, each dog is placed in
a category of performance, which may
or may not be confirmed in future
certifications.
4. Training within the handlers’ home
units: Each handler trains his or her
dog in the territorial unit he or she
works in, according to instructions in
force, and uses the dog on various
missions.
5. Periodic re-evaluation of the dog’s
performance: After graduation, the
team comes back to the Center annually for a certification exam in the
team’s category of service.
